"Story is the voice that calls you in the middle of the night because it wants to whisper in your ear and keep you awake."                                          Author Randy Shamilan

He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where his interest in screenwriting took hold after writing "Lincoln Shivered," a "what if" story about Abraham Lincoln and that fated night at the Ford's Theater. Shamlian went on to develop the screenwriting craft while honing his ability to create intriguing stories, characters with depth and fluid dialogue, which lead him into novel writing. His first novel, Deadly Recipe, is a dark fiction story with a humorous bent that was originally flushed out from a screenplay. It is easy to say that Shamlian has a knack for sinister prose.
